No - not if you decide to withdraw from the purchase. However,
the funds
will be returned (normally double the amount) if the vendor

It is not a legal requirement to do so, as wills from other
countries are valid in Spain. However, in order to avoid
any possible confusion and to speed up the process of administering
the estate, it is advised to consult with a Spanish lawyer
and have such a document drawn up. |

What is a NIE number? |

All property owners must have a NIE number which is basically your tax identification number. The number is necessary for practically any transaction in Spain |

similar to the UK. This can be confirmed with the builder.

What are the schools like in Spain? |

There are some very good English and
Spanish schools in Spain. Entry ages range from 3 years
to 18 years. Many of the English speaking International
schools follow the English education curriculum, allowing
students to sit their GCSE's and A levels.
